Approach to Therapy:
I am here to listen in a safe, respectful environment, wholeheartedly accepting who you are in this moment and leaving space to appreciate who you grow to be. With an analytical mindset, I encourage the reframing of context, language, and positionality to inspire new ways of thinking and approaching challenges or conflict. I operate from a strengths-based perspective, meaning we will work collaboratively to apply your inherent qualities, resources, and talents to address life’s challenges. My approach’s foundation rests on the recognition and acceptance that our experiences may influence how we interact with the world, but they do not define us as human beings. Together, we will ignite a shift in behavioral and thought patterns to help you find heightened self-awareness, acceptance, release, and encouragement to live the life you want to live without changing who you are.
Clinical Interests:
I am committed to helping birthing and non-birthing parents find the support they need to thrive during a particularly vulnerable stage of life, encompassing fertility struggles, pregnancy, postpartum, and the identity transitions that continue to unfold long after the birth of a child. I also focus on managing career stress and transitions. With my prior experience in finance and consulting, I understand the pressures of high-stress executive roles and the nuances of balancing career, family, and personal interests. I also have a passion for helping those with health and wellness goals or those with an interest in addressing habitual behavior. I bring aspects of my prior training as a strength and conditioning coach and wellness advisor into my practice for an integrated approach that emphasizes the connection between the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of presence.
“ My approach’s foundation rests on the recognition and acceptance that our experiences may influence how we interact with the world, but they do not define us as human beings. ”
Education and Training:
I hold an MBA from the University of Oxford, an MPH from Northwestern University, and a BS in Finance from Indiana University. I am in the process of receiving my Master’s in Mental Health and Wellness from NYU. I am also a certified Personal Trainer, certified Fitness Nutrition Specialist, certified Pre- and Post-Natal Fitness Specialist, and hold a certificate in Mental Health and Nutrition from the University of Canterbury. I am committed to lifelong learning and will continue to uphold the highest standards of professional practice and development to ensure you receive the most appropriate and most well-informed care possible.
