“Together, we work to clarify what matters most and find meaningful ways for you to live in closer alignment with your values.”
Approach to Therapy:
I believe therapy is fundamentally about connection, to others, to our bodies, to our stories, and to the world around us. When we feel disconnected from our communities, work, families, or even ourselves, life can begin to feel overwhelming and, at times, lonely. My goal is to ask thoughtful questions that help uncover each person’s inner strength, wisdom, and values, while offering grounding tools that support greater presence and curiosity in everyday life.
I strive to create a therapeutic space that is warm, relational, and rooted in compassion. In my work, I often incorporate metaphor, humor, and creativity to help clients explore and express their inner worlds. Together, we work to clarify what matters most and to find meaningful ways for you to live in closer alignment with those values. My approach frequently includes family-of-origin exploration, connecting past experiences to present patterns, and relational sequence tracking.
Clinical Interests:
I enjoy working with individuals, children, families, and couples who are navigating anxiety, life transitions, questions of identity, chronic pain and illness, co-parenting, reunification, and communication challenges. I was trained in Integrative Systems Therapy, a model that places each person within the full context of their relationships, experiences, and environment. My work is informed by a range of therapeutic approaches, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Narrative Therapy.
I have a particular interest in supporting parents through the many developmental transitions of parenthood and in helping them explore the ambiguity and complexity that naturally emerges in this role. Additionally, as someone who lives with autoimmune disorders, I often draw upon my own experience to compassionately support clients who are navigating their own health journeys.
Education and Training:
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Philosophy of Social Justice from Loyola University Chicago and my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northwestern University. I went on to complete a postgraduate fellowship in relational therapy through The Family Institute at Northwestern. As a couples therapist, I’m trained in Gottman Therapy, both level one and level two. In addition to my clinical work, I am a certified birth and postpartum doula, and this training deeply informs my passion for supporting individuals and families during the perinatal and postpartum period.
3 Things I love:
Lake Michigan swims with my dog, ocean documentaries (especially when there are seals involved), and Settlers of Catan
